More Craft Storage!

Yeah! Phil has made some more Storage Units, but for my Scrapbook Card and Papers this time. It is great to be able to see my papers, rather than rake through boxes. So much easier. I'm delighted with these units. He made quite a few, so I'm filling them up fast before my crafting friends try to slip them into their craft trollies when they're round visiting.

Ink pad storage next?...(a girl can dream... LOL!). I've a long way to go until my room is totally organised, but it's certainly a good start.

Here's some pictures of the 12 x 12 Storage Units with some current and discontinued Stampin' Up!  Designer Series Paper and some discontinued as well (The first picture is of a unit not fully finished, but I just couldn't wait to try it out first).

still needing sanding, but I couldn't wait to see how my papers fit LOL!

Ready to go - YEAH!
What is your favourite storage item in your craft room? Do leave a comment below, as I'd love to hear from you.

Happy Anniversary card and 'Vintage' Scrapbook page

Hi there! Today we are celebrating my 31st Wedding Anniversary, so I thought I would share the quick card I made for Phil. I am so pleased that I made this a few weeks ago when I had a quick moment, as I haven't been feeling well enough to do much crafting lately. It's not often that I am that prepared though LOL!
This card was made with Blushing Bride Card stock, Twitterpated DSP and Mocha Morning flocked Speciality DSP, You Are Loved stamp set and embossed with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder. I love the gorgeous red Glimmer Paper which I used to punch the hearts and Decorative Label. Inside the card was matted with Whisper White Card and I stamped some images from the You are Loved stamp set in Cherry Cobbler ink. It looks far better in real life, than in the photo, but as always, my photography isn't up to scratch (oooops!).

I am looking forward to tonight's meal as I've bought some Donald Russell Ribeye steaks to cook as an extra special treat! I still need to think of a special desert to make (gluten-free of course!).

I thought I would share the Scrapbook page I made in April (under the talented Carolyn's expert instruction) at the Tartan Stampers Mini Convention. The photo on this page was taken 31 years ago today LOL!

Mini Scrapbook Page

Hi there.  Today I am sharing a beautiful mini 6" x 6" scrapbook page I made at the Tartan Stampers SU Mini Convention.  This was the talented Carolyn's shoebox swap that she prepared all the kits for.  All we had to do was make up the page with her elements and add our own photo.  I've added my cousin's wedding photo and thought this sepia photo was perfect.
This uses the gorgeous Mocha Morning DSP which has so many textures and finishes (flock, gold shimmer etc.) matted onto the 6"x6" Crumb Cake card. The sides of the DSP were decorated each side with strips of Chocolate Chip CS puched with the Scallop Trim Border punch. The photo was matted onto Crumbcake and Chocolate Chip Cardstock, where the bottom was punched with the Scallop Trim Border Punch and Crumb Cake Tafeta ribbon tied round and finished off with 3 pearls.  The word 'love' was cut with the Cricut Machine using Very Vanilla Card.

My Best Weekend Ever!!!

Hi there.  I've had the most wonderful time away the last 3 weekends. Just over a week ago, over 30 Tartan Stampers (Dawn Silver's downlines) met for 3 days of non-stop crafting.  It was heaven!  We had 28 Shoebox swaps to make and some fantastic classes too.  I hope to share some of these swaps and class projects over the coming weeks and months.

Today I thought I'd share this gorgeous Scrapbook Page we made at Diane's class. I used a photograph of my middle son Nathan and his beautiful fiancee Katie. Diane had given us a list of things to bring for the project, and being a slow crafter, I'd made the flowers up before, so I just had to glue them onto the page with all the other embellishments at the class.

Isn't this a gorgeous page?

It took ages to prepare and glue on all the components, but it was well worth it wasn't it ?
I used Pool Party 12" x 12" card at the back and First Edition DSP, topped with a sheet of Spice Cake DSP.  The other colour of card I used was Not Quite Navy.  The stamp set is the versatile Vintage Vogue. I love this page so much that I went into Aberdeen shopping and bought a black 12" deep frame to keep the page in and this should stop the flowers being crushed.

I hope you love this as much as I do!

Pool Party Water-baby

Hi there. I trust you all had a good relaxing weekend and are raring to go now it's Monday (LOL!). I know I always need a rest when Monday morning comes, after running about with the family over the weekend, but I wouldn't wish it any other way. I was out with my future DIL looking at card for her wedding invites. We travelled many miles and even visited two craft shops twice before we bought what we were looking for. The invites are simple and elegant and Anne would like to help me make them, so I'm really looking forward to our fun times together.

Anyway - back to today - and I thought I would show you a mini album I made using one 12"x12" sheet of Pool Party dotty paper from the 2011-2013 In Colour DSP and an A4 sheet of plain Pool Party card, finished off with the gorgeous ruffled Pool Party ribbon. It gives you a 3" square Album when finished - perfect for a Brag Book to fit into your Handbag!
The stamp set on the front and back covers was Bundle of Love.
Isn't little Scarlett cute swimming under water. She absolutely loves being under the water! She is definately a Water-baby!

Pretty in Pink

Hi there!  Did you have a good weekend?  Ours was busy as usual - my sons always turn up with their girlfriends just as I'm getting a meal organised.  Ususally it's mainly a Sunday, but this time it was Saturday evening meal and Sunday brunch and evening meal LOL!  I love it when everyone comes round as the house is so lively.

Anyway I've had a busy day in the craftroom today getting a few things organised.  Mind you it looks like a bomb site now as I spent two hours looking for my gorgeous red Glimmer Paper, which I forgot was in a scrapbook bag hanging on the back of the door Duh!!!

Nevermind.  I finished off a quick scrapbook page in Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue and the Stamp Sets were Fox and Friends and Bundle of Love.  It also gave me a chance to use some more of the discontinued Simply Scrappin' Love Stories Scrapbooking set. This cute photo is my Cousin's little girl Scarlett trying to talk.  It was taken last summer and I can't believe she's going to be One year old on Valentine's day.  Doesn't time pass quick?

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope to see you tomorrow when I'll show you some Valentine treats I've been making today.  Bye for now. x
