this month of July 2012 only, with all orders over £45 (not including P & P)

Hello  there! The other day, I made a very quick gift for a friend. Each little box  contains 2 wrapped Teabags. The card colours were Pool Party, Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral. The co-ordinating papers used were the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper, which are only available for one more week, along with the FREE offer this month of 2 FREE spools of ribbon and a FREE pack of Brads. The 3 little boxes were tied together with Pool Party and Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon - all Stampin' Up! products (other than the Teabags hahaha!!!). I'm away to keep working on some more Mini Albums for the wedding photos - I will share some pictures of these soon.

The Open Sea and FREE Offer! details

Hi there, I forgot to share this card with you the other day. This card was made for my Father-In-Law using the Open Sea stamp set which has 5 super stamps - perfect for a man's card, scrapbooking/journalling and many other papercrafting projects (especially 3-d). This stamp set is in the current Summer Mini Catalogue.

The card stock used was Stampin' Up! colours Pacific Point 116202 and Cherry Cobler, 121681 onto Crumb Cake 121685 and matted with Soft Suede 119982. Stamped with mainly Pacific Point Classic Ink Pad 111837 onto Very Vanilla card Stock 106550 and coloured in with the white Gel Pen 105021 to give the sails, compass and anchor some dimension.
Inside the card, Very Vanilla card stock was matted onto Cherry Cobbler and the large globe stamp was added with Soft Suede ink in a corner (sorry, but I forgot to take the photo of the inside). This card was cased from someone, (I remember seeing a picture on a blog somewhere)  but I can't remember who it was - please let me know if it was you as I would like to give you the recognition you deserve.

I must confess that I meant to use Real Red instead of Cherry Cobbler, but got muddled as both colours were lying on my craft table - ooops! The colour still works well for nautical colours though, as it gives it a more vintage look. The shipping list had the edges distressed with  the 7-sided distressing tool from the Cutter Kit 106958, then daubed with Soft Suede Ink around the edges to give an aged look. If I had only remembered at the time, I could also have added a copy of the original shipping list with my Father-In-Law's name on when he first sailed over to USA in the 1950s to live.

I hope you like this card too, as I had alot of fun making this one.

Remember you can purchase any of the materials to make this card, from me and any other current Stampin' Up! products, just send me an email by clicking here. They can be sent to any UK address for ONLY £4.99 P & P, regardless of how large an order! You can browse the online catalogue here or contact me if you wish to purchase a catalogue.

While I've got your attention, I must tell you about the great FREE offer worth £15.95 that Stampin' Up! have  available to everyone who places an order with me for goods to the value of £45 or over (excudes delivery cost of £4.99) before the end of this month of July 2012 :

Cupcake Birthday

Hi there. This is a quick share today as my crafting buddies are coming over after lunch and I would like to try and get organised in my craft room.

It was Katie's birthday on the same day that Daniel and Anne were married just over a week ago, and because Katie has just moved into the house that she and Nathan have just bought, she has been experimenting with baking (her chocolate brownies are to die for - and she even made Gluten-free ones for Phil!!!!). She had asked for some kitchen scales for her birthday, so I thought I would make a cup-cake card with my fail-safe recipe and some pretty cases to bake them in.

Father's Day to Wedding Day

Well you may be wondering why I haven't been posting in recent weeks, so I am going to share this fairly emotional post today as I explain my absence. My Dad's health has been deteriorating for a long time now whilst he's been in the late stages of Parkinsons, and after another short stay in hospital last month, I last visited him in hospital on Father's Day and gave him this card. I will admit that I'd forgotten to put the anchor that I'd stamped and cut out, when I took this photo, but remembered to add it before I gave it to Dad.

Sadly my Dad passed away peacefully, a few days later, just the day after he was sent home. He finally had his promotion to heaven which he'd been looking forward to. I never knew there was such alot to organize for a funeral etc. - so many decisions. Anyway, a week later, we said our final goodbyes to him with around 300 friends whose lives he'd touched, at a very special Thanksgiving Service. It hasn't been all sad though, as we had the wonderful joy of a family wedding the week after that when our son Daniel was married to the lovely and caring Anne, who has been his best friend these last 6 years, and very much part of our family. This was our sunshine after the rain.

It's been such an incredibly hectic time these last few weeks, that it's left us feeling quite exhausted. Any way - life goes on and so must I, so now I have time to get back into crafting for myself, without having to think of wedding stationery (well for a short time anyway - another son getting married next year LOL!). Would you like to see a couple of wedding photos? ... okay, I'll share them just now, but I warn you, there will be many more over the coming weeks as I make my scrapbook pages etc.
A beautiful bride with her proud family and friends
The lovely couple!
See you soon. Thanks so much for visiting.
