Vintage Card

Hi there! Today I am going to share another card we made in a class at our Tartan Stampers Mini Convention.  This card was taught by the talented Lorraine Harrison-Rogers who taught me how to use the Distressing Essentials kit on page 113 of the current Stampin ' Up! Catalogue.  I absolutely loved it!!!! Now I want to distress everything - so watchout LOL!
The Distressing Essentials kit is amazing value too.  For just £14.95 the kit includes 1 flat stamp (2.5 x 3.8cm), 4 distressing ink spots in Tea Stain, Charcoal, Mahogany and Navy, 1 sanding block (7.6 x 2 x 3.8 cm), 1 emery board (10 x 2 cm) and 3 extremely sharp precision files (each 14 cm long).  It's amazing the effects you can create with these tools.  Do give it a try!  Contact me if you wish to order this kit. It is so theraputic just to sit and work around the edges of your card with the file (using it from back to front to give the best effect).  The staining is great fun too.  Thank you to Lorraine for this wonderful class - you are such a talented (and very patient) teacher!

I would just like to remind everyone that there is now less than a week to buy from the Spring Mini Catalogue, so please don't miss out on all these fantastic items. I can place your orders anytime before Sunday evening!

Happy Mother's Day

Front view

Hi there. I thought I would share with you the Mother's Day cards I made for both my Mother and Mother In Law.

View from above

The back view
The squeeze/cascading vintage cards were made using an A4 sheet of Very Vanilla card, matted with Soft Suede and First Edition Speciality Designer Series Paper. I used the Large En Francais (109521) stamp for the background The wonderfully versatile Everything Eleanor Stamp set was used for the decorations, along with  an Antique Brad (117273) and the bow was made with Victoria Crochet Trim (118481).  Although I've added too many embellishments, I really like the basis of the card.  Have a good day.

French Elegance

Hi there crafters.  Today's post is scheduled as I'm out day and evening, so thought I'd play safe incase I was home late!

This simple but elegant card is stamped onto Bashful Blue card with VersaMark Ink and White Stampin' Emboss Powder.  I've used the En Francais stamp and one of the pretty FREE stamps from the Elementary Elegance set which is FREE in the Sale-a-bration if you order Stampin' Up! goods which total over £45.  I adore this set. I've used the Curly Label Punch, some pretty Pearls and  a Whisper White Organza ribbon bow to finish this elegant card off - quick and simple!
Oh... PS - I forgot to say that I edged the stamped and punched images with the White Signo Gel Pen.

I have scheduled another post for tomorrow, just in case I need a day to recover from today. LOL!
