World Card Making Day! Part one...

To celebrate World Card-making Day yesterday, We held a Christmas Stamp-a-stack class, so that  busy people could make a start on their Christmas Cards before things get too hectic nearer Christmas.

We had a blast!  I had a room full of very keen Beginners who either hadn't done any card making before or hadn't made anything for a long long time and wished to get back into things. I was so impressed with their cards. They were all beautiful.,

We made 12 cards of 4 different styles. Wow! didn't these Beginners do a fantastic job? It's so good to see how excited they were (when they'd looked at the cards at the start of the class and said they'd never manage that), then the joy and pride when they had a go and were delighted with their results. They've caught the bug now and would like to make more, so have requested regular classes. Way to go ladies!

Here is one of the cards they made. They found this one of the quickest cards

Sorry for the poor picture. I took it with my phone, so will post a clearer one later

A special thanks to my fantastic helper, who I couldn't have done without. Thanks Audrey, you are a star!

I'm loving the difference Project Life has made to my Photos. It's so quick to pop photos into the pockets ad use some of the Project Life cards for journalling or adding impact to the page if I wish. I'm having a problem with my phone just now, so I can't upload the photos of pages I've done so far, but will keep trying.

Here is a small selection of products available in my online shop:

Celebrating 32 years of marriage!

Hello... yes, it's 32 years since we were married. We exchanged cards and went out for a lovely relaxed meal and spent the evening reminiscing. Here is the card I made for my husband
Happy Anniversary! xx

Materials used:
Stamp sets: Hearts a Flutter and Hostess set: Sweetly Framed
Card stock: Brushed Silver and Naturals White
Ink: Versamark
Silver Embossing Powder
Framelits: Hearts a Flutter Dies
Buttons: Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons
Basic Pearls, Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents
Whisper White 5/8" Organza Ribbon

Now I know this may not interest everyone, but it's been a busy week here on the Farm. It's that exciting time of the year when suddenly all seems well with the world and there is an excited noisy, dusty buzz in the air and everyone is happy and goes around saying how thankful they are. The Buzzards and Red Kites are hovering and swooping around the field too.
It's harvest time! and they are busy working in  the barley field outside the house today. I took a few photos from one of the bedroom windows and thought I'd share some here

I hope you weren't too bored with the Harvest Time photos, but I'll be back with some crafting photos another day. Until then...

The Perfect Blend after 20 years!

Hello Crafters. It was my Brother and Sister-in-law's 20th Wedding Anniversary this week. Now my brother is a coffee addict and I personally think he's Starbuck's best customer (and probably Nespresso too!). They meet up with friends in Starbucks most Fridays after work, so when Stampin' Up! released this new stamp set called Perfect Blend, I knew it was perfect for this special couple. Here's the card I made for them.

Some more Cards, as promised.

six-sided sampler!

I'm always making stacks of Thank You cards, so this was one of my latest cards. I love this Six-sided Sampler Stamp set. There are so many different things I can do with this set, soI started simple. I wanted to play with some of my new In-Colour inks and card, so used Crisp Cantaloupe and Baked Brown Sugar. The embossing folder gives such a gorgeous deep impression, that I keep stroking over the surface (sad, but true!).

washi tape
I'm not so happy with this card, but love the colours. The Washi Tape is great fun either for ripping or cutting. I also tried the new Gingham Wheel for the first time, but forgot about the seam, as usually I make sure it's at the start of my line. Now I know the gingham line looks squint, but it is the photo that makes it look like that. I'm not getting any better with my photos grrr!

Mosaic Madness Stamp set and matching Punch and Embossing Folder
Now this is very quick and simple to make using the Mosaic Madness stamp set, punch and embossing folder - all matching! I added some Pistachio Pudding Ink and cardstock to give the card a calming look. I'm absoloutely loving the new In-Colours for 2013-15. What's your favourite colour? I love them all. They still make me think of  our local retro Ice Cream Parlour!

Thank you for your visit, please call back soon,

Thank you so much

I received this card from a friend who knew I couldn't go away this weekend for training at the Craft Weekend my friends are all heading off to. I absolutely love everything about this card - all the detail, the colours and the style. She must have spent hours making this. It means such a lot when someone is thoughtful and is thinking of you when you're ill.
Thank you so much to Fiona Cooper for your thoughtfulness. I really appreciate it.

Sweet Threads Simply Sent®

I was not sure if I would be able to sew these cards, but I couldn't believe how quick these pictures were to stitch. I expected it to take a few hours, but it only took about 10 minutes to sew one picture.

Everything you need is included in this kit
Many years ago, I used to love creating Cross Stitch pictures, but gave it up when my eyesight deteriorated and I couldn't see the aida or linen holes any more. I am so excited that I was able to sew these with ease. The ready-pierced holes were easy to see and use. There are also included in the kit  - very clear and precise instructions (with pictures and diagrams) for those who aren't too sure how to do Cross Stitch, or you can make it up yourself (like I did here LOL!). There are more than enough threads (Primrose Petals and Lucky Limeade) enclosed along with two needles, 4 Primrose Petals and 4 Lucky Limeade cards, 8 envelopes and 4 tulip and 4 cupcake pierced scalloped cards and Stampin' Up! have even thought of enclosing 32 Stampin’ Dimensionals®. All this for only £11.95.

I used Teeny Tiny Sentiment message stamps on the front, as I had forgotten to order the two wooden Essential Stamps on the same page in the Spring/Summer Catalogue which say 'Thank you' and 'Happy Birthday' for only £5.95 or 7,95 €.

I hope you have a go with this kit. The cards are lovely. I sent one to my Mother-in-law who recently received 2nd degree burns to her back and was feeling quite low due to the intense pain. She phoned me as soon as she received it as it gave her such a boost and cheered her up.

Who do you know that would appreciate one of these cards?
Please contact me today to order this kit for yourself.

More Craft Storage!

Yeah! Phil has made some more Storage Units, but for my Scrapbook Card and Papers this time. It is great to be able to see my papers, rather than rake through boxes. So much easier. I'm delighted with these units. He made quite a few, so I'm filling them up fast before my crafting friends try to slip them into their craft trollies when they're round visiting.

Ink pad storage next?...(a girl can dream... LOL!). I've a long way to go until my room is totally organised, but it's certainly a good start.

Here's some pictures of the 12 x 12 Storage Units with some current and discontinued Stampin' Up!  Designer Series Paper and some discontinued as well (The first picture is of a unit not fully finished, but I just couldn't wait to try it out first).

still needing sanding, but I couldn't wait to see how my papers fit LOL!

Ready to go - YEAH!
What is your favourite storage item in your craft room? Do leave a comment below, as I'd love to hear from you.
