Welcome to The big ILWS Blog Hop today!

Click here to view new Catalogue
Hello and a huge welcome to our Stampin' Up! Demonstrators' extra special  In Love With Stamping big Blog Hop! to help promote the launch of the exciting brand new, jam-packed Stampin' Up! 2012-2013 Annual Catalogue today. I'm so pleased you've taken the time to visit. You may have arrived here from Christa's inspiring blog

I thought I would share with you another version of the original little gift bag with FREE tutorial that I made a wee while back.  Today's bag has just one larger drawer underneath (perfect for hiding that precious bar of chocolate!). This bag is made using the new Gumball Green from the new In colour 2012 -2014 available today. I totally love the brand-new stitched satin ribbon. The small bauble window was cut out with one of the new Holiday Ornaments Framelits Dies (page 3 in the A/WC (Autumn/Winter Catalogue)) and backed with a piece of clear Window Sheet. I ran the 2-way glue pen around the edges and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds glitter. The pretty paper surrounding the window is from the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack (page 20 in the A/WC). This paper stack has gorgeous small prints in a huge variety of colours and patterns - perfect for any occasion! The drawer handles are Real Red Glimmer Brads from page 174 of the AC (Annual Catalogue).
The back view features a 3-d Snowflake using the Snow Flurry Bigz Die p 186 in AC & P 14 in A/WC which has been cut in the Big Shot. I used Red Glimmer Paper from P 160 in the AC which gives a gorgeous rich sparkle. The to/From tag is from the Tags til Christmas stamp set on p 11 in the AC. and punched out with the Decorative Label punch on p182 in the AC.

On Friday I made this really cute Tissue Holder which makes a perfect wee gift for someone and is also a great item to sell at Craft Fairs too. I've used the new Candlelight Christmas Designer Fabric from page 4 in the A/WC. It took less than 5 minutes to make, including cutting out time! I was so pleased with this Tissue Holder as I'm not a sewer and can't machine a straight line (oooops!).

For something just a bit different, on Friday I had my first attempt at using the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamps. I was quite pleased with the results here, especially because I used Gluten-free flour so that my husband could eat them too!

One last thing to share today is one of the many different cards I've made in the last few days, using the Holiday Ornament stamps and dies in the Holiday Frame embossing folder and backed with the Lacy Brocade embossing folder. I will share some of the others over the next couple of weeks.

Now you can go over to visit the incredibly talented Carolyn's blog and see the lovely treat she has in store for you.

Man Flu?..Get Well wish

I'm sure we all know some poor soul who's been knocked flat with a fluey cold just now. I heard of a few friends last week who were laid low, but I just didn't have the time to make any cards, so this week I've made quite a stack of these to keep ready.
Isn't this cute? I loved the idea when I first saw this. The original idea came from this blog. and I changed the sizes of the wee tissue box to suit the European metric sizes (though I still prefer the old inches measurements!) and I also used different punches at the front so the gap for the tissue wasn't so large. The DSP paper size for the box was 8cm x 6cm and scored and 0.5cm and 1cm all round.

Gift tin of Tags in New In-Colours

Hello crafters! Today I'm sharing a couple of tins I decorated last week using the new In Colors which are going to be in the new Annual Catalogue due out on 1st October. I've used Gumball Green and Raspberry Ripple colours which go well with the new Snow Festival Designer Series Papers that I used for the base and dividers in the tins. I've had these tins sitting around in my craft room for over 2 months now and have been thinking of ideas to use them for. I thought these would make good gifts. Here's closer view:

and the other tin:

Last year I made my own box using Rich Razzleberry colours and the same stamp set Tags til Christmas. I covered the box with Window Glass and decorated with the gorgeous Wide Striped Grosgrain Ribbon which I am so sad to see retired this month, so I've been buying up a few of my favourite colours which are in the Retired Lists here.

I am so glad the stamp set is staying as Tags til Christmas is a fantastic set that requires no cutting out, as Stampin' Up! sell punches available for all the stamps!!!! Email me if you are interested in ordering any Stampin' Up! products. Remember the Retired list items are selling out VERY fast.

Lovely gift idea with Free Tutorial

Here's a picture of the Swap I designed for Saturday's  Tartan Stamper's Demonstrator swap. Do you like the new Snowflake Die from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue? I love it. I also used the Festival of Prints Designer Series Paper Stack 126904 which is only £6.25 for 48 sheets. The designs remind me of all my past favourite designs, but smaller and different colours. The double-sided sheets are 11.4cm x 16.5 cm, so a perfect size for  for mounting your 6" x 4" photos into a scrapbook. Contact me if you wish to order anything from the new catalogue.

I have made up a PDF tutorial for the gift bag and drawers. If you would be interested in a copy of the tutorial, then please email me, to ask for a copy. I only ask that if you use it in any way, then you give the credit back to me.

Happy Birthday ... Percy Pig Style!

Hi there. Yesterday was my Daughter's birthday and since she loves Marks & Spencer Percy Pig Jellies, I thought I would make her a card on that theme. I remembered that the lovely talented Kirsteen had made a really cute Gift bag a few months ago on her blog, so I did a direct CASE of her's and then made a matching card to go with it.

These little pink pigs were stamped with the Stampin' Up! Button Buddies 122737 Clear mount Stamp Set and the cute button noses were some of the medium buttons in Pretty in Pink colour from the Subtles Designer Buttons tub 119745. The stamp used on the card, saying 'Deliciously MADE for YOU' is from the Creatively Yours Stamp set 122612 Clear Mount. I also used the Stampin' Up! White Organza Ribbon 114319, the Top Note Die 113463 and the Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder 123128. I hope you like this as much as Naomi did when she opened her card and wee gift.

Candy anyone???

I had fun making this wee Candy Dispenser.
The template for the Candy Dispenser was from Kelleigh Ratzlaff and is very quick and simple to make using Pool Party Card and ribbon and I had the perfect papers to use for it - the New Specialty Designer Series Paper! The New Jelly Bean Brads are perfect as a topper for the ribbon flower on top.

Now I just have to be good and not eat those M&M's!!!!

Convention Swap-Tote Gift

Hi there.  I've been busy beavering away all this week into the wee small hours finishing Wedding Invites which went into the postbox today and also I've been preparing my Shoe Box Swaps and Class Project Kits ready for heading off to Glasgow for our Stampin' Up! Demonstrators 3-day Tartan Stampers Mini Convention later today.  It's been manic!!!!  Anyhow, I've also been making this Swap-tote for my lovely Roomie Carol to carry all her swaps she makes whilst at the convention.  I had a practice run a few weeks ago, so I could learn from my mistakes LOL!  Here is the picture.  The template and tutorial was from Lynn Pratt which is called a Garden Bag style purse.  It holds over 100 cards so perfect to bring to the Convention.  I really love this as it also holds all your tools and materials needed too. I'm not back until late Sunday evening, so I'll have plenty to share with you next week.  Have a good weekend. xx

Backpack gift bag

Good morning. Well did you all enjoy your pancakes yesterday, because my family certainly did. I cooked hundreds (big exaggeration, I know!!), but they kept asking for more.
Anyway, down to business. I was busy the other day and had a practice attempt at making this backpack gift Bag. It needs improving, I know, but this was my first attempt (excuses! LOL!).
This was made using Pacific Point and Pool Party (I know - Pool Party AGAIN!.It was stamped with VersaMark Ink and the medium flower from the stunning Everything Eleanor Stamp Set. The Rhinestone brads add some bling for the fasteners.
Hopefully we can meet tomorrow again!

Valentine Share

Hi There! I thought I would show you the cards that Phil & I made for each other for Valentines Day yesterday. Phil is a closet card-maker I think. I was so delighted that he'd taken time to make a card for me and printed an insert with a verse he'd made up. He even knew to trim the insert. He punched out the two red hearts and wrote our initials on them - how romantic!!! The funny thing is - he isn't a romantic at all, so this was a huge surprise and extra special. I'd made a card in cherry cobler - another swing card using the Top note die and the special stamp set You are loved from the Mini Catalogue. The gift box was made using the Cone Die and I filled it with mini Chocolate Hearts.

I started another project and totally messed it up LOL! Anyway when I finally completed a card, I took a photo, then discovered this photo I took on Friday ready for posting today, but had forgotten about - ooops!!! Anyway, here are some of the bags I made following this wonderful video from Frenchie

I made the bags with some of my precious Mocha Morning Designer Series Papers
They are perfect to add a small gift for a friend. Aren't they cute?

Sweets for my Sweetie!

Evening all! As expected, I needed a day in bed to recover from yesterday, so it's a very quick post today.

I made some quick a simple Sweetie Treats and filled them with Valentine surprises for family and friends.
This Sweetie Treat was made using 124004 Holly Berry Bouquet Speciality Designer Series Paper for £11.50 for 12 gorgeous double sided 12" x 12" sheets. I love the Cherry Cobbler glitter spots. This one was made using a 10cm x 15cm piece of DSP.

Love is in the air...

Thought I'd show these wee cherry cobbler Valentine Baubles I made yesterday.  Can you see the lovely sparkle that I spritzed on using the Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed with Rubbing Alcohol.  It gives a lovely finish.
This is made with the 119883 Full HeartPunch.

Made using the wonderful
117332 Scalloped Heart of Hearts
Tomorrow I need to make a card for little Scarlett's 1st Birthday.  I will show you my attempt when it's finished. Thanks for stopping by.
