Cupcake Birthday

Hi there. This is a quick share today as my crafting buddies are coming over after lunch and I would like to try and get organised in my craft room.

It was Katie's birthday on the same day that Daniel and Anne were married just over a week ago, and because Katie has just moved into the house that she and Nathan have just bought, she has been experimenting with baking (her chocolate brownies are to die for - and she even made Gluten-free ones for Phil!!!!). She had asked for some kitchen scales for her birthday, so I thought I would make a cup-cake card with my fail-safe recipe and some pretty cases to bake them in.

Jubilee Tea Party

Last week, I held an open house Jubilee Tea Party! with cucumber sandwiches, Pimms, gluten-free cakes and cups of tea galore, served in my pretty china tea sets.  I really enjoyed the chance to catch up with friends and between my baking, and all their wonderful food contributions - my huge dining table was heaving!  I wish I'd taken time to take photos of the table when it was full, but I was too busy enjoying the time with my friends, to remember about the photos Hee Hee!

I also made a card (it took hours to cut out and fit together like a jigsaw) and bunting using the 123126 Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die (which was actually quite quick to make) for the dining room and also the lounge. I used the Stampin' Up! colours Night of Navy, Real Red and Whisper White. I also punched out little sandwich flags using the Petite Pennants Builder Punch 122361.

I also used the Crown stamp from one of my favourite sets Artistic Etchings 118517(wooden) and 120573 (clear-mount). The crown has such a sharp, clear image, that it looked stunning.

Finally, I made the Table Confetti, using the 1" punch 119868 to spread around the pretty china plates on the table.
Thanks for dropping by.

Happy 90th Birthday... another Cascading Card

We are back in South Shields today for my Auntie Ethel's 90th Birthday. No-one would ever guess her age as she looks young and has so much energy.  She does far better than me LOl!  Here is the card I made for her birthday.  I really like this style and I've decided to do this one for my Shoe Box Swap at our Tartan Stampers Mini Convention next week in Glasgow. I hope you like it.  Have a great day!

This was made using Very Vanilla, Soft Suede and DSP First Edition Speciality.  I've also used my favourite Everything Eleanor Stamp set and the Fun Flowers die.  Enjoy!

Valentine Share

Hi There! I thought I would show you the cards that Phil & I made for each other for Valentines Day yesterday. Phil is a closet card-maker I think. I was so delighted that he'd taken time to make a card for me and printed an insert with a verse he'd made up. He even knew to trim the insert. He punched out the two red hearts and wrote our initials on them - how romantic!!! The funny thing is - he isn't a romantic at all, so this was a huge surprise and extra special. I'd made a card in cherry cobler - another swing card using the Top note die and the special stamp set You are loved from the Mini Catalogue. The gift box was made using the Cone Die and I filled it with mini Chocolate Hearts.

Swing Card

This card was made following the instructions from the clever Teri. that she had submitted for publication in Papercrafts Inspiration. This card isn't nearly as pretty as Teri's, but I wanted to try the special fold using the BigShot.
It has my favourite colour - Pool Party included with the pretty Calypso Coral complimenting each other. The stamp is from the FREE Sale-a-bration stamp set called Fresh Vintage. Enjoy!

Notebook - Fresh Vintage

Hi there.

Today I thought I would show you the fantastic A5 Notebook Cover we made and decorated with Dawn. I'm sorry about the poor colours - I'm not good with photography, so need to improve that!!

It uses the perfect combination of Lucky Limeade, Poppy Parade, Very Vanilla and Pool Party colours..  The gorgeous papers  are FREE from the Sale-a-bration offer that is on just now and they were cut, along with a piece of chipboard, using the Scalloped Square die. The Fresh Vintage Stamp Set (another FREE set from the Sale-a-bration offer!, which you can have too, if you place an order with me for £45 or over. Another die - the pretty Butterfly Big Shot  Die was used with Poppy Parade. Then we used the 1/2" circle punch for the Just Perfect Alphabet letters stamped onto Very Vanilla card.  The book was beautifully finished with a pretty punched strip of Pool Party across the top.
What a lovely gift this would make for someone!

Thanks for looking.
